Connecting flight in Liston (Humberto Delgado airport)

Does anyone have recent experience with connecting flights in Lisbon on TAP? How easy is it to arrive from the US and then get to the departing gate? (Flying from the US to Florence, Italy). I have read that TAP uses terminal 1 for both arrivals and departures, so that is good. We will be flying in April, so not during the busy summer months.

It’s easier now that Americans can use the electronic passport gates. Lisbon airport isn’t huge compared to others in Europe but can be a bit tricky if you aren’t familiar. Allow 2 hours between flights and you should be fine.

Hi @kathrynj,

The TAP ticket I bought has only 70 minutes between flights. I don't know if I can change the flights now (or how easy it is to change them if I can). I'm worried about it now. I did read that if we can't make the connecting flight, it is the airline's responsibility to rebook us because they sold us that original ticket with that layover. I'm still feeling nervous, though.

Yes, it is their responsibility. It’s also possible your arrival from the States will be early as they seem to build in a lot of extra time. Good luck and the worse case scenario is arriving in Florence later than you planned.
