Has anyone gone here? I am thinking of doing a daytrip from Porto. Bus to Coimbra and Uber to the ruins. Any feedback is appreciated.

We did this several years ago. If you're into Roman Ruins, this is a great sample of them. My husband loved it.

If you’ve never seen Roman city ruins before then you might be impressed. Having been to Itálica outside of Sevilla, Ostia in Italy and a few miscellaneous sites, I didn’t think they were anything special. I felt the small museum was better than the ruins.
We stopped because the ruins were between places we were visiting and we had to drive past the site. I believe we spent maybe two hours there.
Excluding the bus ride from Porto, the ruins are a 21 minutes drive from Coimbra and in a remote location. There’s nothing around them. You need to decide whether the amount of time you’ll spend at the ruins is worth the time it will take to get there and back. The decision would be easier to make if you were spending a night in Coimbra.
