Confusion between Google Maps and Rede Expressos bus info to Évora

I’m planning to take the bus from Lisboa (Sete Rios) to Évora on November 18 at around 9:30 AM.

On the Rede Expressos website, it shows a 9:30 AM departure arriving at 11:00 AM on bus 94.
But on Google Maps, it shows a 9:27 AM departure arriving at 11:00 AM on bus 200.

Can someone local help clear up this confusion? Are these the same route or two different services?

When in doubt, go with the official website, and buy from them

Why should there be confusion? You are taking the bus being operated by the bus company, so their information should be correct. Google Maps gets its data from the bus company, so why shouldn't you just go to the source. You will be buying tickets from the bus company, not Google Maps.

Thanks for the reply. I get that the official website is the best place to book.

But that is why I am confused. If Google Maps is pulling its data from Rede Expressos, why does it show bus 200 while the Rede Expressos website shows bus 94 for the same time and route?

If it is the same company and the same route, should the bus number not match? I am just trying to understand if this is a data issue or if these are actually two different services.

Google's information can be helpful but it's not always up to date or accurate.

Google is referring to the same route but using the wrong bus number.

Buy the ticket for the Lisboa Sete Rios to Évora from Rede Expressos.

The number refers to the bus not the route, depending on the departure time it will have a different bus number even though it's the same route.

Keep in mind that Rede Expressos has buses to Évora from different locations inside Lisbon, also the bus you mention #94 continues to Beja .
