Today's NYT's extolled this area as the next undiscovered pat of Portugal. Neither Steve nor Fodor mention it. Has anyone been there yet?
Yes I had. It´s just about nature. Nice, of course, but not with much to do/see/visit. Except animals. I find it very windy, and for beach, water to cold. But of course it depends on your interests.
Yes I have stayed there. It's hardly undiscovered - many Lisbonites have had second homes there for years. Property prices are expensive. It is a good area for bird watching.
All this coast is windy, but the beaches are long and sandy. The guide books may not cover it as it is mainly about the beaches. Hopefully the proposed large resort there won't get built.
Thanks to both of you. I knew I could count on the forum to set me straight
