Combining Portugal and Spain tours this April

I am combining the Portugal and Best of Spain tours with the prior ending on April 17th in Porto and joining the latter on the 18th in Barcelona. It appears there's only one morning flight leaving at 8:35 arriving in Barcelona in time to meet up with the Spain tour. Is this an easy & reliable connection or am I missing something? Any information/suggestion is much appreciated!

Especially flying direct, flights between Portugal and Spain are easy and reliable.

Thanks Kathryn, that's reassuring! How far in advance should I make a reservation? Sunday 8:35 flight better than a Monday flight? Thanks in advance!

If there is only one flight that works with your schedule, I’d go ahead at least six weeks out. I’m more familiar with flights from Lisbon so really don’t know if flying from Porto presents any challenges regarding day of the week. My observation is that weekend flights from Lisbon seem to be a bit more full, if that’s helpful.

I'm on the Heart of Portugal tour ending 4/15. My flight home from Lisbon could have happened on 4/17, except TAP isn't flying the usual route on Easter Sunday. They fly LIS <-> SFO on Wed, Fri, and (usually) Sunday. So, I am happily extending my stay in northern Portugal until Wednesday. I hope this won't be an issue for an intercity European flight on Easter Sunday. Also, the typical final morning of a RS tour is to informally assist any travelers, in case leaving earlier (even the night before) is required. At least, your next tour probably begins at 5 PM in Barcelona, in case you'll need to transit on Monday morning. Happy travels!

Thanks for the info! I have a rezzy on Ryanair flight leaving for Barcelona about 3:30 on the 17th; and yes not meeting the Spain tour until five the next afternoon on the 18th. Two dozen new names to learn:-)
