I need to travel from Coimbra to Obidos on a Sunday, 10/1. I wonder if I should take the bus or train? I see both take some time on a weekend. Would it be better to travel direct from Coimbra to Lisbon and than back to Obidos? I made a hotel reservation in Obidos for the night of 10/1. I could change that.

the trains (2 per day) take the same time as every other day, 2 hours 29 minutes from Coimbra-B leave at 08:51 or 13:51 and change at Caldas da Rainha.
Coimbra-B station (that really is the name) is north of the motorway, the station in the centre is just Coimbra but doesn't have many trains, for a connection you ride 3 minutes out to B station and then wait over 30 minutes!
where did you find the bus times? the best I can find only go to Caldas da Rainha and take about the same time as the train.
