Coimbra to Lisbon - where to stay on the way

Hi, I'm planning a trip to Portugal In October/November this year. We will have a few nights in Coimbra (3?) and a week in Lisbon. On the way I want to visit Tomar, Batalha, Alacombra and Obidos. I know I need a night somewhere to fit all of this in, or maybe two. Any suggestions. Seems appealing to stay in Obidos - arriving early evening, but I'm not sure that gices enough time for the rest of the sights north of it. Thanks

Alcobaça and Batalha are pretty close together but not the most attractive of towns. On my scouting trip before moving, we stayed in São Martinho do Porto and visited most the places you mention. It’s a seaside town with a number of good restaurants and pretty easy to the toll roads. Don’t stay in Obidos. Too overrun by tourists.
I’m not certain about distances to Tomar from the rest of your wish list. It’s a nice town and not too over run by tourists.

Hi,

I would suggest you search better Coimbra and for me 1 night is enought there.

Your best road trip from Lisbon would be first stop Obidos - Nazare - Batalha - Coimbra - Tomar - Lisbon, regarding the highways and optimizing the road, try on google maps first, they are all nearby max 2 hours from each other.

Coimbra and Tomar are the most extensive on time requested to see, Obidos and Nazare you see in 1 hour each.

Enjoy the trip near the river to Tomar.
