It looks like I'll be in Coimbra for at least the first night of the big festival in May. Does anyone know of a place to stay that's far enough away from the concerts on the river? I've read that people staying near the train station were kept awake all night as the music goes on til 5 or 6 AM. It looks like all of the places in Rick's guide book are practically ground zero.

Several years ago we stayed in a very small guest house called Casa Pombal, way up the hill in Coimbra. I quite liked it, but it is very definitely not luxury. I just checked and it does still exist. I'm sure the location would be away from the noise.
