Coimbra after the floods

Leaving for Portugal in 2 weeks. We had planned on spending several days in the area between Lisbon and Porto, including Coimbra and Tomar. Does anyone know if the area has recovered from the recent floods?

I left Coimbra a couple of days ago. Regarding the floods, my Uber driver had a hard time finding the hotel because some roads are closed, but he talked to the owner and figured it out and the Science Museum was partially (or mostly) closed because of the flooding. My walking tour guide kept talking about the floods but other than the Science Museum, the flooding didn’t impact my visit at all. Unless the Science Museum is a big deal for you, I wouldn’t worry about it for Coimbra.

Tomar wasn’t in the news like several places that flooded, so I’m guessing it’s ok. Your best bet would be to email your accommodations. I’m assuming you will be driving, so you could ask if any roads in the area would impede your arrival. There is a river in Tomar, but, again, there wasn’t any countrywide news about it.
One of the state highways was impacted close to Coimbra, but the recent news is that it is nearing completion for repairs. And, the higher speed trains have been up and running for a couple of weeks.
