Coastal walking tour -- best company to organize?

A friend and I are looking to do a week-long self-guided walking tour with a company that will plan and map an itinerary, book hotels, and transport luggage for us. Can anyone recommend a company that organizes such tours? We are fit but in our 50s and looking to do about 7-9 miles per day, with a few rest days sandwiched in there. Prefer to be walking with views of the coastline most of the time and plan to travel in March or April 2026. Thanks for any recommendations you have.

When you mention a coastal walking tour are you thinking of walking part of the Camino Portugues Coastal Route? I know there are tour operators that support those who walk the Camino, so if that is your goal, it shouldn't be too hard to touch base with one. I haven't personally walked it, but it is on my bucket list.

Thanks for asking -- no, we do not mean to limit ourselves to that route. In fact, I was a bit more interested in a route further south.

In 2023 we used InnTravel, a UK company, for a 5 day, 4 night self-guided inn to inn walking trip in Northern Italy. They worked with us to modify their "standard" tour to work with our schedule and modifications. Their communication, directions, service and accommodations were all great. They have multiple Portugal trips. https://www.inntravel.co.uk/walking-holidays

We did two self guided walking tours in Spain with Inntravel in 2023. The logistics all went well. They do give a great deal of detail on their website which I like, including the hotels and descriptions of the walks. We found their ‘head office’ a bit slow to respond to queries prior to our trip, but on the actual trip everything went well.
We also did a self guided walking tour with Onfoot, another English company. It was excellent and their communication was very quick prior to and during the tour. They also have local representatives if something goes wrong. They do tend towards routes with more vigorous walking than I’m up to sadly.
With both companies, the walking notes were comprehensive, and gpx files were provided. We enjoyed this type of slow travel.
