Hi everyone! I just want to ask if Portugal would accept my CDC travel clearance letter, because I got covid 3 weeks ago and I just found I just need a letter instead of the test because the virus would stay in my body for three months, even though I recovered already from the virus.

Hi- I was in Portugal and tested positive and they did accept my travel clearance letter. They looked it over very carefully and counted the days on their fingers to double-check, but we were cleared. We first had to get a Covid test at the airport in Lisbon, even though we tested positive, we were allowed to board. Good thing we got to the airport early, and it was a very stressful ordeal. But we were elated to be able to leave!
Thank you for the reply. Correct me if I'm wrong. So, I still need to need to get a test before going to Portugal (I will be in Spain first) even though I have the travel clearance letter and the positive test result?
