Cash needed in Lagos/Porto?

I’m in the middle of my month long journey through Iberia. Barcelona, Madrid, Granda, Sevilla and currently Lisbon have all been plastic friendly. I was curious if Lagos and Porto are too. I have a little less €100 hard cold cash.

I’m guessing open air markers prefer cash but apart from that?

Not specific to the two places you mentioned, but I asked somebody currently in Lisbon about using cash. Her reply was, “We are using cash a bit more than on other trips. Change for meters and bathrooms are handy. A few churches/museums have wanted cash. Nice to have change for beers/hard ciders which typically run a couple euros. There was at least 2 restaurants that were cash only. Another restaurant was having computer issues.”

Seems like your 100€ should be plenty for Lagos and Porto. Last year in Spain I only came across two eating establishments that were cash only.
