We plan to rent a car when we land in Lisbon. Searching online there are so many car rental companies with a huge range of prices. Both my husband and I want to be able to drive.
We need suggestions to help us choose. Any recommendations are welcome!

Check www.AutoEurope.com AutoEurope works with the large car rental agencies ( Hertz, Avis, Sixt, etc) and has substantial discounts off their rates.

We do not start our car rental until we leave the big cities. Parking car rentals in big cities is difficult and expensive while public transit is the preferred way to tour the city.
I also agree about Auto Europe. I also have a discount plan with Hertz that works well. Not all car rental agencies with famous names in Europe operate the same as their counterparts in the U.S. Many are franchises.
