Does anyone have experience renting a car in Sintra? We are 4 people, and want to avoid the hassle of driving in Lisbon, but will be taking day trips from our house in Sintra, and will be driving around to different areas of the country.
If you have recommendations of a reliable company that rents larger cars, eg 4-door Subaru-style wagons or the like, would be wonderful to hear of them?

If you want to get more quotes you can check economycarrentals.com. They are a wholesaler and may deliver a car in Sintra, but don't know for sure. Their website shows all the cars available and the cost so you would at least have some prices to compare. The only problem for you would be that since they are a wholesaler you will not know the name of the car company until you accept a quote. You must make a down payment but it is fully refundable if you cancel. We have used them many times and have had no problem but not sure if they would serve your purposes.
Thank you, both! We found a place that rents in Sintra, and even found an automatic hybrid for a good price through them. I will post again once we're back and give feedback on whether it was a good company. :)
