What is the best car rental company to use in Portugal? Should I pick it up in the airport or in Sintra? We are staying in
Sintra.I would like GPS and one of those electronic devices that will get me through all of the tolls I’ve heard about! Recommendations?

Auto Europe is a great company that I’ve used for years. I’ve used them a few times since moving to Portugal and they are great here, too.
I’m not certain if you can pick up in Sintra, but, if you can, I would suggest doing that rather than the airport. Also, be certain your hotel or apartment has parking, as parking in Sintra is hard to find.

We picked a car up in Sintra about 4 years ago. We then dropped at the airport. I believe the company was Hertz. It had an electronic device. If you are able to drive standard ( manual transmission), I believe you will have more selection, and better cost
