Hi - My husband and another couple are leaving next week to walk the Camino starting in Porto to Santiago. I'm wondering if we will need cash or we can use our credit cards in these tiny villages? We are planning to do the coastal route and are staying in hotels in each town. Any advice is helpful.

From my experience, last year and this year, I've run across some places that were cash only, mostly in the smaller towns. I don't know specifically about the Camino Porto route though.
Bring a debit card (ATM) just in case and use a bank ATM to pull out euros if needed.

Thank you! Another question - how do you get the QR code for entry to Spain? It looks like online it is just for entry by plane, and doesn't give an option to get the QR code if you are walking into the country. It is very confusing, and would love some insight on how to navigate. Thanks!
