Business trip to Portugal

I have a business trip from June 2-9th and thinking of adding three days afterwards. The trip ends In Porto so should I spend the three days there? Or back to Lisbon where the trip starts and fly home from there. I was in Portugal 12 years ago and probably hit two days of highlights in both cities.

Which city would you choose to spend three more days in? I'll be on my own for this part of the trip. More questions to come after I decide.

Need to make decision so flights can be booked.

I would end in Lisboa only for one reason.
Less stress about getting to the aeroporto on the day of your departure.

It really depends on your interests. If scenic wine country is something you enjoy, staying in the Porto area and visiting the Douro valley would be different than the high points of either Lisbon or Porto. If you wanted to go back to Lisbon, day tripping to Sintra or just enjoying the miradouros around the city would be great too. Since you've been to both cities, you could also stop in Coimbra for a couple of nights or go to Evora from Lisbon. There really are way more possibilities than just the big cities.

But, I would make your decision fairly quickly. That is going into the high tourist season and Portugal has become a bigger tourist destination than it was a few years go. Booking accommodations soon would give you more options.

We love Portugal and both Porto and the Douro Valley as well as Lisbon and that area.

If you trip ends in Porto, stay there. I highly recommend the InPatio Guesthouse, it was the best B&B ever! Great location, great breakfasts and great little B&B.
