Bus travel (esp. Lisbon <-> Lagos) and the June 3-30 train strike

Anyone taken a bus service Lisbon to Lagos and back and have recommendations, warnings or tips? Or on bus services generally in Portugal?

Given the June 3-30 train strike, I'm under the impression it may be best for me to avoid the trains, which I was planning to take to Lagos in a couple of days and back two weeks later. I had seen several strikes in May on very specific days and lines and they never affected the lines I was using, so I was assuming I could just continue on with the same practice for this strike starting tomorrow - that if there were no announcements of my specific line being affected, it meant it should be fine. But I'm getting the feeling that may not be the case and that if I want to avoid stress I may wish to avoid counting on the trains?

Any advice welcome!
