Braga to Santiago de Compostela

Hello all,

Thinking about starting my summer travels in Lisbon, working my way up north to Braga, and then heading over to Santiago de Compostela. Looked on the web and seems like it's doable by direct bus in 2.5 hours. Train is also an option, but it involves 2 changes and over 5 hours. Wondering if anyone has done this route, especially by bus. Which carrier did you use? Looks like BlaBlaBus is one of several. Any experience this company?

Thanks!

I’ve had experience with Flixbus and Gypsyy. Both were good. Not familiar with BlaBlaBus.

Rede Expressos is the national bus carrier, Flixbus is the largest competitor, both have routes from Braga to Santiago de Compostela.
We used mostly Rede Expressos and occasionally Flixbus, both are fine.
Sometimes routes are shared with other bus companies ( Alsa bus from Spain).

We purchased tickets in person at Braga bus terminal ( it's near the Municipal Market) for various locations in the north ( several bus companies use that terminal) without any issues.

The terminal has washrooms, we usually stopped at the coffee shop across the street for a quick snack.
