Ok, folks, this is an odd request but I'll try anyway :)
Does anyone have an English copy of the book Lisbon in Pessoaby João Correia Filho (translated by Teresa Bento). Can you confirm if it has a lot of photos or illustrations in it too? Here's the thing: I didn't buy souvenir for myself in my recent trip to Lisbon. At the airport, I was looking through some books and one caught my eye. But instead of buying it right away, I decided to roam a little more and as I did so, I suddenly came upon passport control (this was AFTER security which surprised me because I thought I was "home free" until I land in the US). I have never been at an airport where there's any extra barrier after security (although there are some situations in which specific gates would have additional security control).
Anyhow, I was surprised and thought well, let me get through this one more barrier, get to my gate to make sure there are no other barriers then I can continue window shopping. Got through passport control, then walked to my gate to make sure there were no other "barriers" (and there was none), but at the same time, there are few shops after passport control and what few books were available were not the ones I was looking at. Boo :( I also wasn't going to exit this part of the airport just to go through security again to get to that book, and then go back through passport control (don't even think that's possible since this last passport control was basically an exit stamp from Portugal).
So I lost my chance to get that book which would have been my only souvenir from Portugal to myself. At the same time, I don't fully recall if that was the title of the book and I have not been able to find any inside pages of that book on the internet. If that is the book, I can order a used copy on eBay...
Can anyone help? :)
