Bolt or Uber Early Morning

We need to catch a train in Lagos at 6.10 and I would like to know if we will have any problems organising an Uber or Bolt at say 5.30. I was just concerned that it is early morning and Uber/Bolt may not operate that time of the day.

And advice will be appreciated.

I'm not sure about Lagos, but we recently used Bolt at 5 AM in Tallinn, Estonia without problems. We scheduled the ride the previous day. There were other cars on the map at that time too.

That sounds a bit risky and a normal taxi will probably be a safer bet. But if you're staying in a hotel, ask the reception, they will have more local knowledge.

Thanks everyone.

I did check with the host of our Airbnb but unfortunately they could not give me a definitive answer.

Cheers

Just check Google maps at 5am Lagos time which is 9pm Pacific time. Ask for directions from your Airbnb to the the train station and click the little hailing man icon. It will then give you the wait time, travel time and it will even show you the little cars which are available in the area.

I just checked now. It is about 6:00 a.m. in Lagos and there are at least six bolts milling around.

After requesting directions on Google Maps there is a bar below that allows you to select mode of travel (drive, walk, etc). One of the options, to the right of bicycle, is a hailing man holding a suitcase.

I would remind you that Uber and Lyft do not describe their businesses as transportation. They are Silicon Valley intermediaries between the passenger and the driver. That means that they don't guarantee anything. They promise to attempt to match a buyer and a seller. If no sellers appear, they may offer more (of your) money in an attempt to generate a volunteer. Good luck with that.
