We are looking for a 1/2 day tour of lisbon to familiarize ourselves with the city upon arrival. Any recommendations? I am looking at a private tuk tuk tour, guided walking tour or a hop on/hop off bus. Thank you!

Yellow bus is the HOHO tour bus that we use in Lisbon and Porto.

Regardless of which company you choose , they can be stuck in traffic, some tourists use the Metro to avoid that issue.

The bus runs in a set route loop so tourists can get on and off at the same stops ( except for detours/accidents).
Tuk tuks are not on a set route so they can try different streets but overall Lisbon is congested almost everywhere.
Time of day and day of week will make the most difference, more traffic on weekdays and rushour.
Have you used Tuk tuks before?, they're mostly open, without A/C or heat, powered by a noisy/smelly motorcycle engine and not the most comfortable seats/ suspension.
