Hoping someone can help a girl out here! Planning to go from Porto to Lagos but not sure what the best way to do this is. We are not planning on renting a car so the options are bus, train or flying. What are your experiences with going between these 2 destinations? Thanks in advance for any replies offered.

We have used all the modes of transport between Porto and the Algarve.
Flying is the fastest, about half the time of the others , 1 hour flight plus airport check in/security and travel from Faro airport to accomodation.
The bus and train and car rental can be anywhere from 6.30 hrs to 9.30 hrs which we found too long and a waste.
If we don't have the time we fly otherwise we take the the train from Porto to Lisbon, stay in Lisbon for a few days and afterwards travel to Algarve.
We take the AP train ( fastest) first class seats (bigger seats), plus the train has washrooms and a snack bar.
