My husband and I are planning a trip combining Spain and Portugal in late September/October. One key planning question: what is the best method to travel from Sevilla Spain to Lisbon Portugal? Should we fly or take the train? Which is best cost-wise vs. time wise?
I'd fly. TAP Portugal has nonstop flights from $70-$128 depending on day of the week and time. It's a short 1 hour flight. With a train/bus combo you're looking at 5-6 hours and 2 connections for around 40-60.
TAP is showing a flight at 7am or 3:15pm. Note Portugal is an hour behind Sevilla. So you take off at 3pm from Spain and arrive in Portugal at 3pm.
Bus takes 8 hours. Train is not an option. I too would fly.
Slam dunk, thanks for great advice!
