Hi Lizzie, I'm in the process of planning a trip to Portugal, as well. If you don't get the input you need, I've found a lot of help from a facebook group, "Travel Portugal". It is quite well moderated, and there seem to be a lot of residents including travel guides that respond to queries. I've found the group to be quite helpful. I have also been using the RS guide, Fodor's and Lonely Planet for restaurant suggestions.
