What would One recommend would be the best neighborhood to stay in for our first visit of three days? We love history, good restaurants, and pedestrian walkways. What would experience suggest?

I recently returned from my first visit. I stayed in the Baixa district and thought it was the perfect location, convenience wise. My one complaint of that area is the annoying restaurant workers.

If you want some flat space to walk around your accommodation, stay in Baixa. Chiado is also nice but you will be on a hill every time you leave your accommodation.
