Best beaches that don't require a car

Hi, all-

We are flying into Porto in a few weeks and spending 10 days traveling around, eventually ending up in Lisbon for our departure. We would prefer not to rent a car. Which beaches are the nicest (which to me means not terribly build up or touristy, and good for walking) that are accessible by some form of public transportation? We don't have a definite itinerary yet, other than spending our first 4 nights in Porto, so are fairly flexible. Any ideas appreciated!

My first thought would be Cascais/Estoril. You can daytrip from Lisbon there, or stay. I would be inclined in what I assume is late November/December to daytrip from Lisbon there, as you can then choose a nicer day weather wise. You can walk from one town to the other, and I recall we could walk a bit along some cliffs to the Boca de inferno. I did not feel it was overly touristy.

There are beaches in Porto ( Praia dos ingleses) as well.

Cascais and Estoril do have beaches and at that time of the year won’t be crowded. And, you can take a bus from Cascais to Guincho beach outside of town. It is a much larger beach with bigger waves and is stunning.
