We’re returning to Portugal and Spain next year, with LIS as our airport of entry, as well as for departure to return to the U.S. This trip we will be getting our rental car immediately upon landing and heading to Spain right away, spending our time in Portugal (the Algarve & Lisbon) on our drive back. It will be our first visit to the Algarve and we intend to spend at least 3 nights, if not 4 nights. We're foodies, active, as in enjoy biking and kayaking, as well as love the beach ~ we live coastal and very close to the beach (Atlantic) ~ and we are also architecture and history buffs, etc. And while we're no longer into the clubbing scene, we do still appreciate evening drinks and/or nightcaps, etc.
So ~ looking for any/all thoughts and input on which town in the Algarve to base during our time there. We'll be coming to the Algarve from Sevilla, where we've been before, as well as will have already visited several towns along Spain's southern coast before arriving in Sevilla.
