Without having too many different overnights, what are the must sees and also off the beaten path? We’d like to see montsanto and dom Jesus. Help!! Air b and bs are probably our favorites
Monsanto isn’t near any other main sites and somewhat out of the way. We visited it as a day trip from Plasencia, Spain. It was worth visiting, but be aware it is on a hill with few level areas.
On our two weeks in Portugal we stayed in Penalva do Castelo at the Parador, Tomar, Coimbra, Nazaré, Óbidos, and Porto. My must see places are probably different than yours, but we enjoyed Almourol castle near Tomar and walking up the 600 stairs to Nossa Sra. dos Remédios in Lamego. It’s similar to Bom Jesús. By the time we got to Porto we had seen enough religious sites so skipped Bom Jesús and Braga.
