We are in the beginning stages of planning our trip to Spain and Portugal for September 2019.
I have followed the forum for a couple of months and below are my thoughts on the initial itinerary. We plan to begin in mid September 2019. The plan could go in the reverse order as well. (I have already been to Madrid)
3-5 nights Barcelona (depending on our hotel points)
2 nights Granada
2 nights Tarifa or Tangier
3 nights Selvilla
2 nights Portugal Algarve
5 nights Lisborn (we have points for hotel)
2 nights Nazare
3 nights Porto
We are nearing 70 years of age but still active. We enjoy traveling independently as long as we can.
The forum helped me tremendously in planning our last European vacation and I would appreciate any thoughts on the initial plans.

Instead of the Algarve, visit Evora en route to Lisbon. Substitute Cadiz for Tarifa unless you are into water sports.
