Beaches near Lisbon OR beaches near Malaga

Hello!

There are 6 of us traveling and we will all be flying into madrid, taking the train to Granada staying a few nights there and driving either to Malaga OR skipping Malaga and going straight to Seville. We will spend a few days in Seville then fly to Lisbon where we will stay 3+ nights.

This will be the first 2 weeks of September.

September:

1-3 Madrid

3-6 Granada

Option 1 -
6-9 Malaga (get some beach time in)

OR

Option 2 -
6-9 Seville

Then fly to Lisbon and stay there until we fly out the 15th and do day trips from there?

If we want some beach time where would be better and what areas do you recommend?

Is this too much time in Lisbon and should I devote more to Spain?

I really don't like the Costa del Sol, so would not choose that for beach time. And Seville is lovely, so would definitely opt for that over Malaga. I definitely don't think it's too much time in Lisbon. There are nice side trips you can take from there, including beaches. Cascais and Sintra are nice day trips and Cascais has small beaches in town and a very large beach (Guincho) north of town. Lisbon itself is a great city and can fill several days easily.

I too don't care for the Costa del Sol. Seville is worth visiting, so that gets my vote over Malaga.

The beaches around Lisbon won't be as busy, but this coast is windy.
