I would love to hit one market with crafts while in Portugal. It’s so happens that we would have the option to either stop in Barcelos for its Thursday market or Viano do Castelo on Friday (basically on our way to or from after spending a night in Santiago de compostela). We would not do both. I would mostly be looking for nice pottery and a few small souvenirs. Does anyone have a suggestion for which market I should target or which city may be more charming? Does Guimares have any similar market? That’s a town I would really like to see.
