Hi - we know that we can purchase a cel phone SIM card in the Lisbon airport. Does anyone know if we can make the same purchase in the Ponta Delgada airport? (If the data/minutes are good for a month, we figure we may as well make the purchase at this starting point of our trip. We then head on to mainland Portugal.) Thank you.

Yes, there is a Vodafone kiosk at the airport. It is open from 7:00 am- 7:00 pm. I bought a sim card there last month. I paid around 30 euros for 60 gig and it was good for 30 days. They have different cards depending on your needs.
The sales clerks all speak English and are extremely helpful.
