Azores Islands Travel Advice-Update

After receiving thousands of requests on this forum for my Azores Freemium Guide, today I received a message from Google that I am not able to share it any longer. Apparently, I reached the limit to share it. Those of you who currently have access to it should be fine. Normally I receive between ten to twenty five requests per week for the Freemium, so there is another option to continue sharing it.

At the top of this Portugal Forum is the post (Azores Islands Travel Advice-https://community.ricksteves.com/travel-forum/portugal/azores-islands-travel-advice), written by the webmaster back in 2019, that refers to my Freemium link and the Amazon link to purchase the full guide. The good news is that if you click on the link to Amazon, you can still access the Freemium on a computer by clicking below the title page where it says "Read Sample". If you want to read the Freemium on a phone, or other device, you can click "Download Sample". By doing either of these, it will actually be more efficient for me, and more private for you. You do not have to share your email address with me to obtain the Freemium from Amazon. Before today, sharing the Freemium Google doc required this information.

The Freemium has always been free, and will continue to be free. However, clicking on the link in the webmaster's post to request access for the Freemium will no longer work. As always, there is no obligation to purchase the full, digital guide.

I will be contacting the webmaster in September with new information. I am currently updating my Azores Guide to become a Second Edition. It should be ready by September, 2023. The current guide is 321 pages, and the updated version will be close to 550 or so pages. It will also include over 500 more photographs. Also in the Second Edition will be over 50 days worth of self-guided driving tours and self-guided walking tours, covering all nine Azores islands. Of course, there will also be much more detailed information, covering lots of aspects regarding Azores travel and related subjects.

Thank you to everyone who has requested Azores information in the past, and those of you who will in the future. It has been a pleasure for me, on this website forum since 2011, to help in any way possible.

You can always send me a Private Message with your Azores questions.
