Azores Getaways

I do not want to speak badly of any company, but will say, in my opinion, the following...

I looked over the website, and the cheapest prices are for dates that I do not recommend visiting the Azores. The more expensive dates are for the times I do recommend visiting. This does make business sense.

It is very easy to plan a trip on your own, and have more choices for hotels or apartments in your budget. Even airfare can be found that suits your budget. Delta Air has great prices out of Boston (connecting at JFK) for under $600.00, but you have to pay extra for luggage. This price is for SUMMER flights to Sao Miguel only. Azores Airlines prices are about $900.00. If you don’t mind a few extra hours of travel time, why not save $300.00?

Your lodging can be dramatically cheaper if you rent a house or big apartment for your group. The size of your transportation depends on how many are in your group.

Lastly, if you want to do zero planning for your logistics, then this company will take care of it. If you want to save hundreds of dollars per person, but be responsible for a few hours of research planning, then go this alternative route.

I will send you a PM of my Azores guide that should have all you need to research a trip. If you only want to visit Sao Miguel, then it will be that much easier for your logistics. Whatever plan you decide, I assure you the trip will be unbelievable! Good luck!

We love the Azores and have been there twice whille on transatlantic cruises. We found private tours both times that were very cheap. However, this is far different from a package tour including hotels, airfare, etc.

I would campare what you get by doing the trip on your own, booking your own hotels and tours.
