My husband and I will be in Portugal for two weeks in June and are considering ending our trip with three nights in the Algarve area. I'm looking for suggestions on which town to rent an airbnb. We are in our 50s and would like to avoid staying in a touristy party town, but we're active and also don't want to stay somewhere too quiet. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Nowhere along the Algarve coast is going to be quiet in June.
If your trip focus is Lisbon to Porto, I wouldn’t bother heading to the Algarve, as if you want beach time, there are good beaches to be had along the Silver Coast.
If it has to be the Algarve, Tavira would be my choice followed by Lagos and Luz. Silves is a pleasant town with a castle but is slightly inland.
The sea will be cold everywhere, as it’s the Atlantic, not the Med, but slightly warmer around Tavira and the east. The western end of the Algarve is also very windy. The beaches up the western coast around Carrapateira will be less busy than those around Lagos, Salema etc in June and are backed by fantastic cliffs.
