My fiance and I are considering Algarve, Portugal for our Honeymoon. However, we are concerned about the weather in early April in Algarve. We are not the "let's lay out on a beach all day" people but perfer a good mix of culture, good food and wine and relaxation. How is the weather in Algarve in early April? What are some of the better towns to visit? Any feedback will be much appreciated.
You can get a picture of Rick's favorite town there, Salema, through the Watch and Read links at http://www.ricksteves.com/europe/portugal/algarve. A small beach town like that can be pretty quiet off-season, but if you stay in Lagos, you can daytrip to Salema and Sagres. You don't say how long you're planning, but I'll assume that Lisbon is on the plan, too.
