We are a middle-aged couple traveling with three 24-year-olds this March. We plan to spend five nights in Lisbon, then two nights in the Algarve. We are trying to determine the best home base and are looking at two AirBnBs-- in Praia Da Luz and in Portimao. Advice or cautions about either of these options? We have stayed in Salema before, but it has been many years. Thanks!

Praia da Luz is much smaller a town. I think the beach is more picturesque.
Portimao is much bigger but it would be closer to some of the beach caves.
I like the feel of Luz better but either would be fine for such a short stay. Go with whichever accommodation you prefer.
