Where would you visit in Algarve in February?
We are embarking on a 7 day trip to Portugal next February and trying to decide between extra time in the Nazare area or time in the Algarve. Thanks for any help.

With only 7 days I would do extra time in the Nazare area. I'm assuming you are beginning or ending in Lisbon? Nazare is closer, there are many sights close by to see as it is not beaching weather in either place ( Alcobaca, Batalha) You could also check out Obidos which is close to Nazare and very pretty.

No, no and just no. I have been, regrettably, to the Algarve in February and it was horrible. Nothing open, everything musty and it was cold. Go somewhere else!

The Algarve is (more or less) a one-trick pony - its beaches. February is certainly not beach weather so I would suggest somewhere else - Lisbon area or the Canaries or Morocco or a city break.
