Hi!
Has anyone been to Praia de Rocha before, during or after the electronic music festival? The dates for next year are 17-19 June 2022. I am looking into the Algarve for 8-13 June. Does anyone know when the festival starts to set up? I am guessing about a week before as website says there are big carnival type rides right on the beach. I want to take the boat tour to Bengali cave, etc, so maybe I will look for accomodations further from Portimao. I don't like loud noises, so any testing of sound equipment would not be tolerable for me. Thank you for reading and sharing any knowledge you may have!

Personally, I wouldn’t stay in PdR or Portimao at any time of year - there are much nicer places to stay such as Lagos or Alvor if you want to see the caves.
June is busy in the Algarve and you are likely to have to queue for quite a while before your boat gets into the caves. It’s also a windy month at the western end of the Algarve and you are likely to get blown off the beach. It’s cooler of an evening, so you will need a jumper or cardigan. The sea is cold even in the height of summer.
