Airport to Train connection

I'm arriving at Lisbon airport and want to connect to a train to Porto. The Oriente station seems to be the closest to the airport, reachable by Metro. How much time do I need to allow for this transfer, accounting for immigration/customs? Is 3 hours sufficient? Planning to buy train tickets in advance. Are train tickets exchangeable if I miss my train departure because of plane delay?

I agree that three hours should be plenty. And, yes, you can exchange tickets for a very small fee.
