Hello, I am visiting Portugal for the first time during the last 2 weeks in April. After spending a few days in Lisbon, I am doing a 7 day trek along a portion of the Rota Vicentina, ending in Aljezur. I will have an additional 2 nights to spend somewhere before returning to Lisbon to catch my flight home. I am traveling solo, traveling via public transportation, and mainly interested in nature, history and local culture. Do not seek an active night life scene or the like. What recommendations might prior visitors offer for where to aim my attention? My trekking guide service had recommended Salema, but I see here that it is now quite developed. TIA!
