Accommodations in Sintra

We will be staying 3 nights in Sintra in early November, with another couple, and are looking for a place to stay that is near the train station and has parking available. We would like 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms minimum. Can anyone suggest a good site?

Either. Also looking at guest houses. What is easiest to check into, due to CoVid? We will have been on a cruise out of Porto, then 3 days in a VRBO further north. We would like to be near the center of Sinatra. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

We will be (hope hope) staying at Chalet Saudade ("vintage guest house") for several nights in early October. It is pretty much next to the train station. I booked direct - but they are on Booking dot com. They have no parking - but there look to be several parking lots in the area.. If the hotel looks interesting - you might contact them and ask their suggestions.

But - I might suggest dropping the car as you get to the Sintra/Lisbon area and using local transport. Everything I've read suggests a car is a major liability in Sintra (& Lisbon & Porto). Although - maybe not so much in November.

Have a great time!

Well, you can stay near the train station and the modern town center or you can stay in the historic center. All the sights are walking distance from the historic center except the Pena Palace. The train station is about a 10-15 minute walk to the historic center. There are good restaurants in the historic center and near the train station. Driving in historic Sintra is difficult and parking is close to impossible. Unless you have mobility issues, you really only need transportation to Pena Palace and most efficient is the tuktuk. I'd recommend not even having a car in Sintra. Use taxis to/from the train station to your rooms. Taxis and Uber aren't expensive

Just visited Sintra a few days ago and stayed at the Sintra Boutique hotel. Highly, highly recommend it. Parking was available, but you honestly don’t need a car in Sintra.
