9-night itinerary feedback

We will be arriving in Lisbon 10/22 and departing 10/31. Will be coming from the US. First time to Portugal and trying to make the most of our time there without overdoing it. Looking at Rick Steve's "Must see" and "Try Hard to See" destinations, I came up with an itinerary that covers most of it. Once I have the itinerary finalized, I will then fine tune the details of daily sightseeing activities and lodging. I welcome any feedback.

Here is a rough itinerary with driving times from Google Maps:

10/22 - Arrive at 08:00am in LIS, rent a car and drive to Salema. (3 hr drive). Overnight in SALEMA.

10/23 - Beach day/rest day. Overnight in SALEMA.

10/24 - Drive to Evora, with a stop in Lagos on the way. (3 1/2 hrs total driving time). Overnight in EVORA.

10/25 - Drive to Coimbra, with stops in Fatima and Tomar on the way. (4 hrs total driving time). Overnight in COIMBRA.

10/26 - Drive to Porto. (1 1/2 hr drive). Drop off rental car. Overnight in PORTO.

10/27 - Sight seeing in Porto. Overnight in PORTO.

10/28 - Morning train to Lisbon. Sightseeing in Lisbon. Overnight in LISBON.

10/29 - Day trip to Sintra and Cascais. Overnight in LISBON.

10/30 - Sightseeing in Lisbon. Overnight in LISBON.

10/31 - Depart 10:00am to fly back to US.

For timing purposes only, assume you’ll spend 3 hours at the Convent of Christ by itself in Tomar. The castle doesn’t take long to visit since there’s not much to it. The parking lot at the Convent is a pay lot.

If only going to the Sanctuary in Fátima you’ll only need 1-1.5 hours. There are a few free parking lots a short walk from it. However, if you intend to visit the children’s’ houses and the location where Mary and the Angel appeared you’ll need a couple additional hours. Those places are a few miles from the Sanctuary and there is some walking involved getting to them from the parking lot.

With those two stops you’ll have little time to see anything in Coimbra, assuming you intend to visit the university and library.

Thanks for the comment, @jaimeelsabio. I anticipate that we would be arriving in Coimbra later in the afternoon, after a long, full day of driving and making stops in Fatima and Tomar. Was thinking of saving the sightseeing (maybe the "Old Town Walk") for the next day and then driving to Porto in the afternoon.
