8 Days in Portugal with 4 year old

Hi All,

I am planning a trip to Portugal from 7th Apr(Reach by 1 PM to Porto) to 16th April(Leaving 9 Am by Lisbon).
I will be travelling with my daughter ( 4yrs old ) and my wife. We just wanted to have a relaxed vacation and hence do not want to cover too many places.

Is Porto for 4 days and Lisbon for 4 a good itinerary. Any other suggestions are also most welcome. We both would like to enjoy wine and ofcourse any activities which can be doable by my kid.

I would suggest the aquarium in Lisbon. I think it's still the largest in Europe and it's got some great exhibits, including penguins. In Porto, she might enjoy a short river cruise (not all the way into wine country) and, if she's old enough, maybe the Lello bookstore, of Harry Potter fame. I've heard that there are stores where kids can paint their own azulejos, although I've not been to one. It might also be fun to walk across the bridge in Porto. In both cities, a trolley ride would be fun. Keep an eye on your stuff as the same time as your daughter. There are pickpockets.

I would have 3 nights in Porto and 5 in Lisbon, as there is more to see there.

I'd keep the 4 days in Porto. But then, I'm probably one of the few who actually likes Porto more than Lisbon. We really enjoyed walking along the river and just wandering the streets.
