24 night round trip from Lisbon itinerary help

Looking at 24 day trip after landing in Lisbon. We are thinking of round trip into Spain and then back to Lisbon to fly home. We like to have a car to explore off of the beaten track, do some hiking, and stop if we see something interesting. Any suggestions on route? We like history and outdoor activity like hike and cycling. Beaches are not needed, however we like the scenic drives along the sea. Nightlife not important as we usually tire ourselves out during the day.

Had posted same Question for Spain with start in Barcelona, in the Spanish forum as we are unsure of which country to focus on.

Thanks

From Lisbon, fly nonstop to Barcelona and spend a minimum of three nights in Barcelona. Make sure you buy tickets for the Sagrada Familia before leaving home.
From Barcelona fly nonstop to Granada. Buy tickets for the Alhambra Palacios Nazaries when you buy tickets for the Sagrada Familia. Spend a minimum of two nights in Granada.
From Granada take a direct train to Sevilla’s Santa Justa station (2h 45m). Sevilla needs a minimum of two nights but if you take day-trips from Sevilla go to Tavira, PT (2h) by direct bus. Cordoba is a 45m direct train ride from Sevilla. If you rent a car, good day trip options from Sevilla are Arcos de la Frontera (1h 30m) and Ronda (2h). If you visit all these places sleep in Sevilla for six nights.
From Sevilla’s Santa Justa station take a direct train to Madrid’s Chamartin station (3h). You need a minimum of three nights in Madrid. A good day trip by direct train is Toledo (1h). Follow the crowd when getting off the train and take the bus to Plaza Zocodover. When the crowd gets off the bus do the same. Another good day trip from Madrid is Salamanca (1h 45m). Segovia works too from Madrid’s Chamartin station (2h). If you take these three day-trips from Madrid add three additional nights making it six nights in Madrid.
From Madrid fly nonstop to Lisbon. Sleep in Lisbon a minimum of four nights for Lisbon alone. If you add day trips i.e., Sintra and Évora you can take a direct train. From Lisbon’s Oriente station to Sintra (1h) and Évora (1h 45m).
