I want to stay at a true bed and breakfast. Something on the smaller side in an actual home, not a hotel. I want to feel submerged into Portugal and meet people that live there. Any suggestions that are not on Google? Thanks in advance!

Portugal does not have a B&B tradition like in other countries.
Before the internet there were Pensões, Residenciais and Hotels.
Your choices for for B&B are most likely going to be Airbnb.

You might want to research Posadas Portugal. They are mostly in old mansions, convents, etc.
