I like your itinerary as it stands. The Algarve will be hideously busy in late July with families heading to the beach and the best accommodation will have been taken months ago. Salema has been ruined by over development. Stay north.

I also don’t care for Nazaré, particularly in peak season. I would prefer to stay in Caldas da Rainha, which is a good base for the area that has some character.

Day 9 you could add Tomar.

Aveiro - see on day 13 en route to Porto.

You have an excellent itinerary! I would not go south to Algarve in July. It will be mobbed plus hot.

Kudos for not including the Algarve. So many people think they must see it, and shortchange other areas.

I also am not fond of Nazare. Another option might be São Martinho do Porto, which is very close. From it you can visit all the places you mention.
When in Coimbrã, GoWalks does a very nice walking tour which includes the university and library. It’s very reasonable and a good way to see the Coimbrã highlights.

I would add an extra day to Lisbon. Right now you have only one full day in Lisbon because of the 2 day trips you have planned. Lisbon is a wonderful city with lots of interesting and important sites, in addition to just wandering and enjoying the ambiance and relaxing with a drink at one of the miradouros.

You don't need two nights in Evora. Do it on a day trip from Lisbon.

Too many days in Nazare.

Consider adding Obidos (with ancient Roman walls) and Batilha Cathedral.

Consider the In Patio Guesthouse in Porto, it is fantastic.

Are you planning to visit the Douro River Valley? Consider taking a short cruise and/or the train.
