14 Days in Portugal in September. Please help with itinerary!!

Hi All,
We will be traveling to Portugal in September. Roundtrip to/from Lisbon.
Here is what we planned so far.
Day 1 - arriving in Lisbon. renting a car and heading to Evora. 1 night in Evora.
Day 2- Nazare - 2 nights.
Day 4 - Coimbra - 2 nights
Day 6 - Duoro Valley - 1 night.
Day 7 - Porto - 2 nights
Day 9 - Sintra - 1 night
Day 10 - Salema - 2 night
Day 12 - Lisbon - 3 nights

Is too much? should we cut down on something and or add any other destinations? all suggestions are welcome and highly appreciated. THANK YOU!

Unless you're seeing things outside the city itself, Coimbra can be seen in one day, leaving you more time for other places.

Several people on this forum have made negative comments about Salema, but I haven't been there myself. Maybe use the Search function to look for earlier posts?

We thought about stopping by in Alcobaça, Batalha, Fátima on our way to Coimbra from Nazare.

Great idea! I just did. Reviews are not that great. Should i add 1 night to Porto and Lisbon? Or maybe choose another destination?

I would not add another destination. We spent 5 nights in Lisbon, which included a day trip to Sintra. Since you already have a night planned for Sintra, I think 4 nights in Lisbon (instead of 3 nights) would be nice. Of course, it depends on your interests. There are a few things we didn't have time to see.

I have not been to Porto yet, so I really can't comment on it. But since you only have 2 nights in Porto, perhaps a 3rd night would be nice.

Eight locations in 12 days is an exhausting pace.

I would drop Salema as it has become over developed and it’s a long way to drive for only one full day there. You could add another night to Evora, particularly if you will have jet lag plus you could spend time exploring the towns such as Tomar, Alcobaca and Fatima.

If you must stay in the Algarve, I would opt for Tavira which retains more character.
