14 days in Portugal (Lisbon to Porto road trip)

Hi guys,
I have a flight to Lisbon at the end of October and I have 2 weeks to spend in Portugal.
I also want to see Porto, but of course, I want to see beautiful places on the way there and back (my flight back is from Lisbon too).
* I will rent a car at Lisbon airport.
I'm traveling solo, so I want to meet people. I'm into bars, pubs (love beers and breweries), good food, and nice cities/nature.
This is the route I was thinking about (Please share your thoughts with me) :
2 nights in Ericeira
2 nights in Coimbra (I'm considering Nazare or any other place instead considering my interests)
4 nights in Porto
1 night in Cascais (I know it's a little bit far but I want to be close to Lisbon for the next day to return my car early but can get any other idea).
5 nights in Lisbon

** If you have any tips for me and any suggestions on which places to visit, please share them with me!

Thank you!

Two nights in Ericeira is plenty, IMO. But, you might consider adding one night to Coimbra so you can drive out to Conimbriga. It’s the remains of a Roman town with lovely intact mosaic floors.

Driving from Porto to Cascais is very doable. I drove from Cascais to Guimarães a few years ago and arrived mid to late afternoon.

But, the tolls on the highway are pretty expensive. If you plan to drive straight from Porto to Cascais, you might consider turning in your car when you arrive in Porto. It will be a hassle in the city. And, there is a direct express bus from Porto to Cascais. It’s ridiculously cheap - under €20 round trip. Just paying tolls would cost much more. It arrives at the bus station in Cascais, which is right downtown.

And, I’m thinking you already know Portugal is much more about wine than beer. But, there are a few pubs in Cascais that might be of interest.

Nazare is a beach resort. It was crowded and unpleasant when we visited in June a few years ago. Maybe it will be ok in late October. Visit Alcobaça en route. Our favorite places were in the Minho north of Porto. Consider staying in Guimares, Portugal’s first capital. Another city we enjoyed was Evora.
